Credit Allocation Alerts overview

Allocation Alerts send a credit allocation alert when:

  • The remaining amount of a selected credit record is less than the specified percentage.

  • A credit record is refreshed.

NOTE: This is not available for use with the Enhanced Credit Module.

  • A specified percent of a credit allocation is or is not lifted within a specified number of days after initial activation of the credit allocation.

NOTE: This is not available for use with the Enhanced Credit Module.


Setting up a Credit Allocation Alert

Location: Alerts > Credit Allocation

Here’s how to set up a Credit Allocation Alert:

  1. Select the credit record to associate with this Credit Allocation Alert.
  2. Select the SoldTo Managed box to indicate if this alert is a SoldTo Managed Alert.
  3. Select the type of alerts to create for this product:

NOTE: If the Alert box is not selected, the alert is not active.

Field Description
Alert if Credit Remaining < x %: Issues a Credit Allocation Alert, If selected. This alert notifies when the remaining amount on the selected credit allocation is less than the specified percentage(s).

 NOTE: SoldTo managed alerts can have only one remaining percentage.

  1. Select Send E-mails using labels instead of percentages field, if desired.

NOTE: If this field is selected, enter the desired comment, in the box below this field, to display in the email. The label wording is sent in an email rather than the % indicated in the selection box.

  1. Select the receiver and contacts that should receive this alert from the Alert Receiver Lists and Contacts field.
  2. Click the Paper Clip icon to add the list or contact.
  3. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for additional alert recipients.
  4. Click Save.

Searching for a Credit Allocation Alert

Location: Alerts > Credit Allocation

Here’s how to search for a Credit Allocation Alert:

  1. Enter the information in the following fields:

Exclude SoldTo Managed

Keyword Defines a full or partial key word that corresponds with the Search By selection.
  1. Click Search. The following columns appear for each Credit Allocation:
Field Description
Credit Allocation Provides the credit record for the Credit Allocation Alert.
Active: Identifies if the alert is active or inactive. Options are

Y – the alert is active.

N – the alert is inactive

SoldTo Managed: Indicates whether the alert is SoldTo Managed.

NOTE: SoldTo Assignments are directly linked to the Allocation Viewer and are editable through the Customer Managed Alerts within the site. If the contact is created by a customer using the Allocation Viewer, the contact is automatically labeled as Sold-To Managed. If the contact is created within DTN TABS, it can be editable by your customers by linking it to the correct SoldTos. To prevent edits, do not link internal contacts to SoldTos.
