Forecast Alerts overview

There are 8 types of Forecast Alerts:

  • Channel Forecast Add/Change – activated by a forecast record being added or changed for a channel after the Finalize Forecast Channel Forecast Add/Change alert.
  • SoldTo Forecast Add/Change – generated by a forecast record being added or changed for a SoldTo after the Customer Review Start Date for the SoldTo Forecast Add/Change alert.

 NOTE: If the forecast is still in an Internal Review state, the alert is not sent.

  • Forecast Change Request – prompted by a customer requesting a forecast change in the Allocation Viewer or by responses from internal users to the Forecast Change Request alert.

NOTE: Once a forecast status has been changed to Set in DTN TABS, a notification is sent to subscribers advising the request has been rejected due to the change request window being closed.

  • Terminal Volume Change –initiated if, after the Finalize date but before the record is changed to Set in DTN TABS, the change amount for the forecast results in a change greater than the supply change warning level set in Forecast Terminal Supply Change alert.
  • Forecast Finalized Alert – activated by the Channel reaching its configured Finalize Forecast date.
  • Forecast Available Alert – informs customers or internal personnel that the Proposed Forecast Allocation is available for review using the Visibility Module:
  • Terminal Flag – generated if the Terminal Flag is still set when a Channel’s forecast is a Terminal Flag alert

Setting up a Forecast Alert

Location: Alerts > Forecast

Here’s how to set up a Forecast Alert:

  1. Select the active alert for the desired Forecast Alert.
  2. Select the SoldTo Managed box to indicate if this alert is a SoldTo Managed Alert.
  3. Select the send address from the Alert Sender Address field. This is the email address that sends notification of the alert.
  4. Select the receiver and contacts that should receive this alert from the Alert Receiver Lists and Contacts field.
  5. Click the Paper Clip icon to add the list or contact.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for additional alert recipients.
  7. Click Save.
