Once a consignee has been added to your database, you need to assign that consignee to the terminal or terminals where that consignee is allowed to load product. Terminal assignments can be made through the Seller (Data Management > Seller Consignees) or Marketer Consignees page (Data Management > Marketer Consignees).

Once a consignee has been assigned to a terminal, DTN TABS recognizes that consignee as authorized for entry to that terminal. In order for the consignee to be authorized to load product, you must assign an Open to Buy status to the consignee. You can assign an Open to Buy authorization status on a terminal-by-terminal basis through the Product Allocations Setup page (Allocations > Product > Manage) . An easier and faster way to assign this status is through the Defaults page (Data Management > Marketer Consignees). Once you select the Automatically Create Allocation as Open to Buy option on the Defaults page (Admin > TABS Defaults), a consignee assigned to a terminal is assigned an Open to Buy allocation record also.

The consignee is not authorized to load product until the consignee has been assigned to a terminal and assigned an Open to Buy authorization status. Without an Open to Buy authorization, the consignee is denied at the rack.
