If there is a different Shipper ID, blanks, or 000 in the Real-time Auth record, DTN TABS is alerted that an additional customer authorization is required. When this field is equal, only one authorization is processed. DTN TABS uses the Exchange ID as a Seller Consignee Number. The Exchange ID is provided to the seller by the shipper. The shipper is required to maintain information in the DTN TABS database on the seller for the same terminal using the Exchange ID given to the seller as a Consignee Number. That is, the seller must indicate to DTN TABS that a customer authorization must be made on itself by a shipper.
