Master Data Initial Core DTN TABS setup overview
In order for the Master Data feed from ERP to update the DTN TABS databases, there needs to be an initial setup within Core DTN TABS for Terminals, Products, and Channel.
Terminal
Setup terminals must first be active within the Core DTN TABS. For information on setting up terminals, see Terminal overview.
NOTE:
For Master Data setup, the following fields are required in Terminal Details:
- SPLC
- Owner Code
- Plant Number
- Master Data Active
If the Is Master Data Active check box is not selected (Data Management > Terminals), then any Master Data sent from the ERP system that is related to the terminal does not update Core DTN TABS until it is activated.
Products
All products that are assigned through Master Data must first be active within the Core DTN TABS. For information on setting up products, see Products overview.
Class of Trade Mapping
Master Data requires that all channels be setup with an abbreviation and that the class of trade (COT) mapping be completed. For information on setting up channels, see Channel overview.
NOTE:
Each allocation COT maps to one or more numeric COT fields in the ERP data feed. A mapping is maintained between the Allocation COT used in DTN TABS and the ERP COT IDs.
Here’s how to map channels:
| Location: Data Management > Mapping > Class of Trade |
-
Select a channel from the Channel drop-down in the Associate ERP Mapping panel. The associated ERP COT appears for that channel.
NOTE:
To add a new channel, click
New Channel to open the Channel Search page. The Maintenance page creates a channel which contains the channel code and description. This is an existing Channel Search page in DTN TABS. When a channel is created, a consignee group is created for the new class of trade. The consignee group name matches the channel name.
-
Enter the ERP COT and Channel Description and click Associate. This maps the ERP COT to the DTN TABS Channel.
-
To remove an ERP Channel (Class of Trade) Association, click Remove.
